In this course, we were instructed on how to execute creating buildings in the Rhino application while making the renderings in Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Photoshop. I personally learned about problem solving and working independently while helping peers.
P1: Art Pavilion
This project was our introduction to the Rhino application. We followed a tutorial to get the structure of the building, but then were allowed creative freedom to make alterations to the structure. We also had to tinker with Rhino ourselves in order to create art pieces for the pavilion. After, we rendered scale sized models in for reference in Photoshop. Finally, we created a page layout in InDesign with a title box.
P2: Pine Park Pavilion
In this project, we also created a pavilion, but were completely independent. We were to find a pavilion that already existed and would like to recreate in Rhino. The goal was to create a model, different floorplans and elevations, a detail view, a exploded view, and a layout for the final project to present.
