In this course, I was able to learn more about Adobe Photoshop than I had known from before.
Product Drawing & Interface DesignFor this project, we combined the creation of a product drawing and an interface design from earlier in the semester. For my interface design, I chose to create a menu for the restaurant 'First Watch.' For the product drawing, we followed tutorials to create the iPhone in Photoshop.

Concept Composite
For this project, we were give creative freedom to create a concept composite of different scenes like dystopian society, utopian society, alien world, etc. I chose a mixture of a dystopian society and alien world. We created a slapcomp (left) of roughly cutting the images and placing them in the image. After feedback, we refined the image and added different filters, layer effects, and blending tools for a first pass through.
Images for Advertising
For this project, we were introduced to different tools in Photoshop - mainly pen and path and its different applications. We then were supposed to take the tools learned and create our own images for advertisement. I chose McDonalds coffee for my first image, choosing a yellow background associated with the yellow arcs. I placed coffee beans randomly in the background through a pattern to create variety.
For the Apple image, we were learning how to distort images and make them look like screens. I chose an image of an apple with a bite taken out to mimic the Apple logo and applied their motto to the image. Then, I placed the screen on a MacBook Pro, a product of Apple's.
For the last promotional image, there is no specific brand. I chose a model to cut out and create a border around to stand out. To make her stand out even more, I dimmed the intensity of the background. I applied the line tool we learned to draw from the model and write 'Fashion.'
